I say a decade of the rosary every night before bed for my future husband. So that he has a good day and that God blesses him and that he knows I’m waiting for him… I was wondering, am I the only one who does that?

If yes, well… here’s the pause of odd silence. crickets chirping
 
hey prolife teen,

I have some friends that do the same thing, although i don’t believe they pray a rosary everyday…keep it up! I pray for my fiance, who i hope will be my future husband, but i also pray for God’s will to be done if this isn’t His plan. He’s got 'til August 6, 2005 to let me know otherwise 😉 .

The more i read your posts, the more I see that there are some amazing people out there who are well grounded in their faith, and you are so much younger than me!!!

There is a forum that asks if there is anyone I know who could become a saint…I don’t know you, but I’m gonna put you because you are the most inspiring person to me and my growing faith…Thanks

I agree, you are a little sweetie, you seem like such a nice person.

I used to pray for my future husband, too. I prayed that:
He wouldn’t be a drunk
He would truly love God
He would truly love me
I would truly love him
He would be nice to me

And I got what I asked for! He ain’t perfect, we do have our share of problems, but he has all the qualities I like in a guy, and I think he’s a lot better than the guys I could’ve married instead! Just remember that when you do get married, all marriages take work, compromise, and commitment. There may be times when you sort of half-wish you’d stayed single, but they pass!

Of course if you do stay single, there is always the nunnery! You can have a chance to do some great things for God!

That is a super awesome attitude to have. I wish I would have been that open to God’s will when I decided to marry the wrong man. It would have saved me. After the divorce, God brought me right back to the man I dated before I got married. Incidently, God brought this man to me again right before I got married as well…God has had to send this man into my life 3 times in 20 years ( and I still am hesitant).

Thanks for the great idea (praying a decade of the rosary everyday for future husband)! I bought this really pretty rosary bracelet and am now using it for that intention!
btw have you heard of Spiritual Adoption? You pray a prayer everyday for nine months for one particular unborn baby and its mother. In heaven, it is hoped that you’ll meet the child who was spared abortion by your prayers. (I can’t wait to meet mine!) Here’s how it goes:
“Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of the unborn baby I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”
