I was just wondering if anyone out there has bought the book put out by the USCCB, “Prayers Against The Powers of Darkness.” I have not been able to find too many reviews on it. Is it worth the $6.95?

I don’t read books, I strip them for keywords to add to Catholic content on wiki

I have it. It’s not worth it. If you typed it out in a normal business font, the entire book could fit on both sides of a single sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper. There are a few basic prayers and then a bunch of aspirations and a couple illustrations.

Better to get a St Benedict medal blessed and ask for his intercession imo

To be quite frank with y’all, I work in a middle school. I’ve been in the education biz since the late '90’s. I have never seen the level of dysfunction, disrespect, and unruly, wild behavior that I’ve seen now. I read about a priest who said that people who are not baptized are open to demonic attack much more so than the baptized. Well, I live in the most unchurched state in the country-Maine. It has me thinking that, yes, most of these kids just come from bad homes, but I have to wonder how many of them are under attack. So I thought that using this book couldn’t hurt, especially whereas its official, put out by the U.S. bishops.
