Prayers as I go off to college

I’m going to New Jersey from Colorado and we don’t have any family or friends there so I’m VERY nervous since I’m kinda shy to begin with. Please pray for me to receive the blessing of friendship. (I had a group of amazing friends in high school and I’m very sad to be leaving them.)

I would also ask that you pray for a blessing of courage for me that I can make the most of my college experience.

High school was pretty awesome for me so I’m somewhat nervous to go to college where it seems like there isn’t a strong sense of community like there was in high school (i.e. school spirit, involvement, ect.). I hope I can make the most of this experience God has blessed me with.
 
Be blessed as you go off to college!! May God bless you with many new christian friends!! May your studies come easy and be interesting!! May you and the other young people your age take better charge of this Great Country of ours!! God Bless you and keep you…In Jesus name I pray…AMEN

Praying for you. Go to the Newman Center and you should find people who share your values and faith.

I’ve been here for a few days, and I feel really lonely. It’s kinda discouraging. I can’t seem to make friends, that well and people treat me like I’m invisible. I’m trying to keep an inviting expression on my face, because I don’t want to seem hostile or stuck-up, but I don’t really know how I’m going to find some friends. 😦

I’m hoping once the clubs get moving I can meet like-minded individuals, but for now, it’s kinda depressing and I feel alone.

I’m a naturally quiet/shy person and I think most people mistake that for rudeness.
 
Dear SK…I know what you mean about being quiet and shy being mistaken for rudeness. Give people time to get to know you and I am sure you will begin to form friendships. Keeping you in prayer…Blessings and regards - Barb
