Prayers for a family friend

Please pray for the C family. The youngest daughter (Lindsay) and friend of my sister called today to let us know that her mother has reached the last days of her brave fight with cancer and will probably pass away this week.

Lindsay’s father also fought cancer in the recent past. The past few years have been very difficult for Lindsay - she is only 20, a full-time college student, and her older siblings are busy with their own lives. Please pray that Mrs. C passes peacefully and without pain, and that God may comfort her family.
 
Lord in your mercy hold the hand of Lindsay’s mother and bring her gently into her place with You. Bring comfort and support for her daughter who is caring so much for being so young. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

God of all consolation,
in your unending love and mercy for us,
you turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life.
Show compassion to your people in sorrow.
Be our refuge and our strength to lift us
from the darkness of this grief

O Blessed Joseph, you gave your last breath in the loving embrace of Jesus and Mary. When the seal of death shall close one’s life, come with Jesus and Mary to aid them. Obtain for them this solace for that hour - to die with their holy arms around them. Jesus, Mary and Joseph, we commend their soul, living and dying, into your sacred arms. Amen.
