Prayers for a missing boater

They have not found him yet. At this point, I am fairly certain that it is no longer a search and rescue mission but a search and recovery mission.

Weather conditions the last few days have made the search difficult. The area of the river his boat was found in is shallow. The water levels change daily. One day there could be sandbar in a particular spot and the next day it may be under water. It has also been very windy, which has impeded the search.

Please pray for the search team and for his family. I cannot imagine the suffering and agony they are experiencing.

Heavenly Father, please pour Your mercy and graces upon us. Wrap Mike’s family in your mantle of healing and love.

Mary, our Mother, pray for us!

God has finally helped bring closure for the family. Mike’s body was found two days ago by a fisherman 5 miles downstream from where his boat was found. It was a long, difficult week and a half for the family. Thank you for all your prayers and for your continued prayers for the repose of his soul and healing for the family. Mike and his family were our neighbors when I was a child.
 
It’s sad that he didn’t make it, but at least the anxiety is over. I will keep his family in my prayers. :signofcross:
