Please join me in praying for a stranger who committed suicide early this evening. I was on a Japanese bullet train and the conductor announced that the train was “stopped at a signal and would be delayed.” The only time Japan`s bullet/shinkansen trains stop is for earthquakes, typhoons, or when someone tragically commits suicide by jumping in front of the train.

A few minutes after pausing the train, the conductor announced that the train in front of us had stopped because someone committed suicide (by jumping in front of the oncoming train).

Please join me in praying for the soul of the person who committed suicide. Please also pray for their family, and for the conductor of the train, and passengers on the train, and all of the train station employees/police who were involved in this tragedy.

It is sad because suicide (especially committed in this manner) is common. So common, that dealing with the aftermath, and getting the trains back meant my train was only “delayed” 41 minutes.

Please also remember those in your prayers who are struggling with suicidal thoughts. Sucide is a sad and tragic reaction to temporary problems and is never a solution, whether one is Christian or not.

Sincerely,

Maria1212

Prayers for this desparate soul - may God comfort them and their family.

Praying for all concerned, including the driver of the train and all the emergency personnel who responded.

For all those contemplating suicide, that the light of Christ will show them the way to life.

For the families of all suicides. May the Peace of Christ, which transcends all earthly peace enter their souls and console them in their grief.

In the Name of Jesus,
Amen

Dear Lord,
Please bless the person who thought so much of someone you love, whom they had never met, that they asked for prayers here. You assure us that all that call out to you are heard. Hear all our prayers for the poor soul who died and the family and friends of this precious child of yours.
Amen. :hug1:

Thank you so much to everyone for their prayers for this person and their family and all concerned. May our Lord bless you.

Sincerely,
