Prayers for all alcoholics to be healed of their addiciton

For Those Addicted To Alcohol

Dear Lord Jesus, all forms of addiction ruins so many lives and addiction to alcohol can cause such devastation in the lives of individuals and their relationships with the family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues.

Dear Lord we lift up to You all those that have become addicted to alcohol, which so often damages and destroy the lives of so many people. Lord we a pray for all who have been afflicted with this terrible disease - that they would be released from the ruinous way that it affects so many and be set free of this addiction.

Lord we know that there is no freedom except in You and for those that are Your children we pray that in You mercy You would meet each of Your children at their point of need - and in the power of the Spirit living within, I pray that they may break free of this destructive addiction.

And Lord for those that are not believers – we ask that in Your grace You would convict them of their damaging behaviour, both in their own bodies and in the lives of those that they know and love, and turn them away from alcohol addiction to a right relationship with the Lord Jesus – in Whose name I pray,

and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,

Praying with all for all. FYI, there is a Prayer Warrior Support Group for Addicts in the Social Groups.
 
Prayer for all those dealing with addiction. God help them in their struggles. Relieve them of their demons.
 
Praying for all those struggling with addiction, for their healing, health, and peace.

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular all alcoholics , and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (all alcoholics to be healed of their addicton). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into all alcoholic’s bodies and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
