Prayers for chronic illness and upcoming surgery

I’m having some issues due to a chronic illness that will likely require surgery. I have a round of testing to go before I know what kind of surgery I will need.

I appreciate any prayers. Especially pray that I am a good candidate for the least invasive surgical option. And, that the surgery is effective.

I apologize if I am not able to thank everyone individually. My vision is slipping, so I have had to limit my time on CAF.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (mrsdizzyd). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into mrsdizzyd’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Prayer for the Apprehensive Patient

Christ said to His loved ones: I am with you, fear not, be not anxious. May I, then, be confident that in the trials and crosses of my life that You, O Lord, will be my constant companion. Whenever I cannot stand, You will carry me lovingly in Your arms.

May I have no fear of what may happen tomorrow. For the same Eternal Father Who cares for me today will take care of me tomorrow and everyday of my life. You, O Lord, will either shield me from suffering or give me strength to bear it patiently. May I be at peace, then and put aside all useless thoughts, anxieties, and worries.

Amen.

Almighty and Eternal Father,
You are the everlasting help of those who believe in You.
Hear us for Your sick servant @mrsdizzyd, for whom we
implore the aid of Your tender mercy.

Please grant her: the least invasive surgery; a quick and
complete recovery with minimal pain; peace and patience;
the fullness of life here on earth; and a home in eternal glory.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Who lives and reigns with
You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
