Prayers for Father Archimandrite Serge Keleher

I’m certain that a number of folks here know Father Archimandrite Serge Keleher, pastor of HieroMartyr Nicholas the Wonderworker Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church in Dublin, Ireland.

I read elsewhere that Father Serge is in the hospital and seriously ill. He had surgery a day or two ago for a gastrointestinal hemorrhage and is also suffering from a number of other complicating conditions.

Please remember him in your prayers and at Divine Liturgy.

Prayers for the health and salvation of Father Serge …

O Almighty Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Savior, heal Thy servant, Archimandrite Serge Keleher, from the afflictions that he is now suffering. Strengthen our faith like that of the Roman Centurion, so that we may ask for this healing with the same faith, trust, and hope that Thy servant, Father Serge will be healed in the same manner that the Centurion’s servant was restored to health. O Holy physician of our souls and bodies, hear this fervent prayer for Thy servant, and grant this request as we hold this, Thy servant up before Thy glorious Throne. We ask this in the victorious and Holy Name of our Lord, God, and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Thank you so much for posting this. I “know” Fr. Serge from his active participation on another Forum, but I have spent little time there, or here, lately and missed the prayer requests and updates about him there.

Prayers for the speedy recovery of Father Serge… May all of the complications from the surgery be resolved soon so he may resume his daily activities as before.

I knew Fr. Keleher well when he was in Toronto doing his Master’s degree in Theology.

He was much beloved by our former Bishop, Kyr Isidore Borecky (+memory eternal!). Fr. Keleher set the highest possible standard of Eastern Church praxis in our tradition and I am very sorry to hear this news.
