Prayers for Father with AML

Thank you all so very much for your prayers. I have a new request, so I hope adding it here rather than starting a new thread will be sufficient. My father stepped on a roofing nail last week and had to get a Tetanus shot. He ended up in the hospital for a couple of days due to infection and had to stop his maintenance chemo, which is a unsettling, but it had to be done in order for his immune system to fight the infection. We hope nothing changes with his remission status, but now he has a new potentially dangerous situation going on. He has frostbite. He was supposed to ice his foot where the nail went in after leaving the hospital, so we had been icing it with an ice bag off and on. Well, unbeknownst to us, he filled a bowl of ice and put his whole foot in there. For 30 minutes! He hasn’t been thinking well as he has been through a lot this past year with treatments and medications, as normally he would know not to do something like that. He also has a rather debilitating and rare form of Neuropathy, so that’s why he was able to keep his foot in ice for so long. I am hopefully going to take him to Fr. Jose Maniyangat’s Healing Mass this week, if he can stay out of the hospital. If you aren’t familiar with Fr. Jose, he has an interesting testimony/backstory which is online and I’ve been to his Healing and Generational Healing Masses before. He was a parish priest but is now traveling with his Healing Ministry full-time. I highly recommend his ministry to anyone and you can see if he will be in your area on his web page. Please continue to pray for my dad. I can not thank you enough for your prayers. He is coming up on a year since he was first diagnosed with AML, thanks be to God. I remember all of you and your intentions when I pray the rosary.

Thanks for the update. I am sorry to hear of your Father’s infection and neuropathy. I will pray these issues resolve without further complication for his AML. May the healing Mass be beneficial to your Father, and you take care of yourself as well.

Thank you for your continued prayers. Today my father is battling an infection in both of his feet. Still fighting the one from the rusty roofing nail and frostbite, now has an infected toenail on his other foot. He is also starting to have symptoms of a potentially dangerous side effect of his medication. He is still in remission as of last week, so we are thankful for that and are praying that he continues to be. God Bless you for your prayers.

Thank you, Detoutcoeur. I will pray this Novena for him as well.
 
Thank you all. He is still fighting the infections. His doctor informed him today that an MRI showed the infection of the wound from the rusty roofing nail is in the bone, so he will be having surgery within the next few days to remove the infected part of the bone. Thankfully they will not have to amputate his toe. I pray the whole process is as smooth and successful as possible as he has been through quite a bit. We are all still thankful about his continued remission, thanks be to God. I will remember all of your intentions in my rosary.

My father is going into surgery for the infected bone in his foot from stepping on the nail. We are waiting on cultures to identify what type of infection is in his blood and praying hard it is not Staph. Please pray for him. That he makes it through and that whatever is in his blood, he will recover from as well. Thank you for praying. I don’t know any of you, but it is comforting to me to know you are there, praying for him. God Bless you all.

My father is still in need of prayers. He has a staph infection in his blood from the roof nail he stepped on. He was released from the hospital and is on IV antibiotics at home until May 16. He will not be able to have his remission maintenance chemo for the second time since this happened. I’m concerned that the cancer may return without the chemo and the staph infection, while it’s thankfully is not the worst kind of staph, is still a danger to him. Please continue to pray for him. Thank you.

I’m concerned that the cancer may return without the chemo and the staph infection, while it’s thankfully is not the worst kind of staph, is still a danger to him. Please continue to pray for him.
