Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy.

O Lord Almighty, the Healer of our souls and bodies, You Who put down and raise up, Who chastise and heal also; do You now, in Your great mercy, visit our brother, Fr Ambrose, who is sick. Stretch forth Your hand that is full of healing and health, and get him up from his bed, and cure him of his illness. Put away from him the spirit of disease and of every malady, pain and fever to which he is bound; and if he has sins and transgressions, grant to him remission and forgiveness, in that You love mankind; yea, Lord my God, pity Your creation, through the compassions of Your Only-Begotten Son, together with Your All-Holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit, with Whom You are blessed, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Let us pray to the Lord. Lord have mercy.

O Lord our God, Who by word alone did heal all diseases, Who did cure the kinswoman of Peter, You Who chastise with pity and heal according to Your goodness; Who are able to put aside every malady and infirmity, do You Yourself, the same Lord, grant aid to this Your servant Fr Ambrose and cure him of every sickness of which he is grieved; lift him up from his bed of pain, and send down upon him Your great mercy, and if it be Your Will, give to him health and a complete recovery; for You are the Physician of our souls and bodies, and to You do we send up Glory: to Father, and to Son, and to Holy Spirit, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Indeed. Prayers for the good Padre from Turin.
:o Oooops… thank you for the good thought, but it’s not this priest-monk Ambrose who is sick! I have had no news from Fr. Ambrose (the Elder) in the last days, so I add my prayers for his speedy recovery, with my whole heart.

I’ll add my “Amen” as well.

Blessings,

Let us pray.

Lord Jesus Christ, You chose to share our human nature, to redeem all people, and to heal the sick. With this in mind I beg You to look with compassion on Your humble servant Father Ambrose, support him with Your power, comfort him with Your protection, and give him the strength needed to heal his illness. Since You have given Father Ambrose, a share in Your own passion, help him to find hope in his suffering for You, Jesus. Dear Jesus, you told us to be not afraid. Help Father Ambrose to not fear his ordeal. Amen.

May Christ hold him close within His Most Sacred Heart.

What’s wrong with Fr.?

For those who asked, Father Ambrose posted a few days ago that his cardiologist has told him that he must significantly cut back on many of his activities over the next 4 months, including church services.

I will be praying for you, Fr. Ambrose! I also won’t take it personally if you cut back on responding to me as well. My posting is bad even for my ticker 😉

In all seriousness, Father, our prayers are with you :gopray2:

😦 Talk about a bummer. The dear Hieromonk will be in my prayers.

Father God, you know all hearts. Bless and heal your servant Ambrose, who is consecrated to the service of you altar. Restore him as you once restored the sight of the blind, the health of the leper and the woman’s son to life. Per Christum Dominum Nostrum. Amen.
