Prayers for health

I have a couple of serious medical conditions “hindering me” since I was a baby and I have been meeting with a respiratory/cardiologist for years since I was a child but since I am growing older and my heart is also growing older, I am having to meet with him more often. Recently we spoke of transplants and other treatments which was something I was completely unprepared for. I am not too worried as I know that it may never have to happen, but he told me if I stay well (as in no flus, chest infections & such) it will keep the strain away from my heart and lung (I only have the one). My problem is that I am working with children. I love my job and I love the kids. But, over this past year I have been so constantly sick with infections and flus and everything that would be detrimental to my conditions. I have been constantly sick for the past month. I study full time and have two jobs so I am falling so very far behind, not to mention how miserable I feel during my times of illness.

Perhaps I have chosen the wrong profession, but I figure if it is meant to be God will sustain my health. So any prayers for good health or for the Lord to guide me to the right decision in regards to my career – and if this is not the occupation he has set me up for, then what… because I would feel at a loss with my life without it.

Any prayers would be so graciously appreciated. 🙂

I am suffering a bit of pain in my hips and chest as a result of coughing so constantly to the point of exhaustion which is affecting my ability to work.

Please continue to pray for me. I appreciate it so much, God bless you all =)

Kids are wonderful but they can indeed be germ-ridden little darlings - not their fault at all of course.

I remember doing work experience in high school at a day-care, and getting so sick after three days there I had to take the rest of the week off to recover.

I’d say regular flu-shots might be helpful, though that may be something you’ve already discussed with your doctors. And if you’re studying as well it might be best to work elsewhere just until your studies are completed.

Keeping you in daily prayer. I hope things will improve including in your ability to work - this must be a worry.
 
Thank you lovely, lovely blessed people. 🙂

I will be intending on beginning a new course of antibiotics while I work the next 4 weeks of work placement in a day care for my study course. Hopefully it will help fight off at least some of the germs.

I am continuing to pray that I may have the strength and the ability to trust in Jesus’ Holy Will for me, and that I may not become discouraged nor despondent if the outcome isn’t what I am hoping for but will understand that it is in my best interests to try something new and that with the help and the assistence of My Lord and savior, I will find something that will be right for me. I pray mostly that Jesus will sustain my health, protect me and shelter me from sickness in particular; any illness that effects my respiratory system and / or my kidney.
