These intentions bring us to our knees seeking your intercession for healing.

We are humbled by our physical limitations and ailments. We are so weak and so powerless. We are completely dependent upon God. And so, we ask that you pray for us…

Day 5 - Pray for us, that our suffering will not rob us of joy

We know, St. Peregrine, that you are a powerful intercessor because your life was completely given to God. We know that in as much as you pray for our healing, you are praying even more for our salvation.

A life of holiness like yours is more important that a life free of suffering and disease. Pray for our healing, but pray even more that we might come as close to Our Lord as you are.

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

Act of Contrition
My Lord Jesus Christ, Father of endless charity, we are heartily sorry for our sins. Grant us, therefore, pardon of our sins and the grace we ask of You through the merits of the sorrows of Your loving Mother and the virtues of Your martyr, Saint Expedite.

O Glorious Martyr, Saint Expedite, through the sufferings and humiliations which you received for the love of God, grant us also this grace which is very pleasing to God, and free us from anger and hardness of heart which is the stumbling block our souls.

Oh Saint Expedite, our protector, in you we place our hope that our petitions may be granted if they are for our own good. Please ask Our Lord, through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin, for the forgiveness of our sins, and the grace to change our lives, particularly the grace of granting Maurice’s family the money necessary so that he can start his treatment in the USA and we promise to follow your examples and will propagate this devotion to you.

Novena to St Jude - day 7

Most holy Apostle, St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the Church honors and invokes you universally, as the patron of difficult cases, of things almost despaired of, Pray for Maurice, he is so helpless and alone.
Intercede with God for him that He bring visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to his assistance in this great need that he and his family may receive the consolation and help of heaven in all their necessities, tribulations, and sufferings, particularly -

all the spiritual and temporal needs of Maurice and his family, for sufficient money to cover the treatment costs, and for his healing if it is God’s will
  • and that we may praise God with you and all the saints forever. We promise, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor granted to Maurice by God and to always honor you as our special and powerful patron, and to gratefully encourage devotion to you.
