Please pray for the repose of the soul of Mrs. Choike. She was my teacher many years ago, and also my confirmation sponsor. She passed away recently after a very difficult bout with, I believe, Alzheimer’s or something similar.

Mrs. Choike was the first teacher to get me to like going to school, and she was a wonderful sponsor. I wish I had done a better job of keeping up with her as I got older. Hopefully one day I’ll be able to thank her in person for all she did for me.

Thank you for praying for her.

Rest in Peace

Eternal rest grant unto Mrs. Choike, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon her.

And may the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Prayer to the Blessed Mother in a Time of Bereavement

O sweet mother Mary, you knew the sadness
of mourning those your heart loved most:
Jesus, your Son, and Joseph, your devoted spouse.
Please pray for all affected in this time of loss.
Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
