Prayers for my Daughter

My daughter, Jessica, is living in very difficult, and abusive relationship. She gave us a wonderful grandson last December. We have been praying for her, and our grandson’s protection.

Our prayers were answered as she recently was asked by family services to remove the baby from the father as he is potentially abusive. This was as a result of a domestic dispute where the police had been called to intervene.

She is now home with us, and is blaming us for her situation. She threatened to take her life, forcing us to call 911. All she can think of is returning to her boyfriend (they are unmarried). She has decided to disown us and her entire family. My wife and I are holding on, only by faith. All we can do is love her, accept her, and pray for the Lord’s will to be done.

Please remember our daughter and her son in your prayers!

I pray that Christ be with your daughter and grandson. I recall a story/song very similar to this situation. The child had an abusive father who abused his mother. One day when the child went to church and saw Jesus hanging on the cross, he mentioned to someone that although he did not know Jesus he knew that he got of the cross because he was with the child in those darkest hours. I pray that Christ be with your daughter and grandson as he was in that situation. I also pray for you, your wife, and your entire family.

O God, our help in time of need, Who are just and merciful, and Who inclines to the supplications of His people. Look down upon them and have mercy on this family and deliver them from the trouble that now besets them. Deal with us not according to our iniquities, but according to Your manifold mercies, for we are the works of Your hands, and You know our weaknesses. I pray to you to grant them Your divine helping grace, and endow them with patience and strength to endure these hardships with complete submission to Your Will. Only You know their misery and sufferings, and to You, our only hope and refuge, they flee for relief and comfort, trusting in Your infinite love and compassion, that in due time, when You know best, You will deliver them from this trouble, and turn their distress into comfort. We then shall rejoice in Your mercy, and exalt and praise Your Holy Name, O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen
 
I’m so sorry for all that you are going through. You all are in my prayers.
 
St. Dymphna, help and calm this daughter and her family. Amen.
 
Lord hold this family close, and breath Your word into Jessica’s ear guiding her to a peaceful situation that is good in Your eyes. Keep a watchful eye over this new grandson, that he will stay safe and be encouragement for Jessica to come to You.

St. Michael please keep your sword at the ready to keep everyone in this family from Harm.

Father please continue Your watch over Jessica and her son. Please hold them close to You as they travel through the troubles they’ve been facing, and always keep them safe. In your Son’s name I pray. Amen.
