My family just joined San Secondo D’Asti Church in Ontario, CA. It is a wonderful small parish and has the TLM on Sundays. Also all NO masses are done facing East. Very reverent. The priest is very holy. He told me his term is ending soon and when he goes they plan to close the church.

Please pray for the Bishop to bring in someone else as Pastor as it is a wonderful church. The people from adults to children are so respectful in church. They have confessions many times a week. Everyone so far are friendly, it is like a family. They have over 1000 members.

Thank you for your prayers.

P.S.

Also please pray for my daughter, Christina who has thyroid cancer, that it will be fine after surgery.

God Bless You All

Bernadette,

Your parish and daughter are in my prayers!!

Oh God Most High, I pray that You continue to shower your love and inspiration on your flock in Ontario, CA, in particular the San Secondo D’Asti parish who is seeking a replacement priest.

Please also care for Christina who is afflicted with thyroid cancer. I ask that you watch and care for the doctors and nurses whom are to operate on her so that they may show Your love through their work.
I ask in Jesus’ name,

Amen

Praying for your intentions:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

God Bless
In Jesus through Mary

**Hi Bernadette,
I will definately be praying for a new priest! I can’t understand why someone would close a church with this many members???

I’m also saying special prayers for your daughter.
God Bless,
Pam**

Saint Mary of Magdala for the love of Mercyful Jesus, intercede in this prayer and bring it to the perfumed feet of our Savior. Have mercy here the way Jesus had such mercy with you. Amen

Amen, I say to you, wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the world, what she has done will be spoken of, in memory of her. Mathew 26:13

Mercyful Jesus to honor your Holy Words, I mention her name today, Mary of Magdala. 2,000 years later, in this part of the world and in this forum. For Your Glory, For Your Glory, For Your Glory. AMEN

Praying that this parish will not have to close and will be supported be a priest as holy as this one…Keeping Christina in prayer too…also her surgeon and medical team…and the family and friends at this time of illness…

Praying very hard for your parish and your beloved daughter!

I want to thank you all for your prayers. Prayer really helps, although sometimes the Lord answers in a different way than we want.

San Secondo Parish has people from all over as members. The diocese has three parishes without a priest and I guess that is why they want to close this one. I am praying that God takes care of it as although we go to the NO mass (it is lovely too) I feel that it is the first parish as a whole (not individuals) I have been in to show such devotion to our Lord. The Pastor and other priests that help don’t give sweet little homilies. They tell you like it is, but in a loving way. In fact the Pastor called me yesterday and is such a humble person.

I just want to tell you the reason for maybe closing the parish.
Again thank you for all your prayers, they are very much appreciated.

I feel with all the prayers that Christina will be okay, she is a selfless person and told me it was better that she had cancer than her three sisters who have other problems. I don’t think I could be grateful it was me if I was the one with cancer at her age.

Yours in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary

Bernadette

Thank you for this update and am keeping Christina in prayer. My own parish recently went through and is still going through major upheavel with our four priest parish now one parish with only a part time priest who lives away from our parish (due to our priest shortage). We have one full time Deacon who is outstanding!!! Be assured that when all unfolds, The Lord will have taken jolly good care of you all…
