Prayers for my wife's deceased aunt and her family

All,

I am requesting prayers for my wife’s aunt, who succumbed to cancer at a young age of 54 years old last Thursday. She leaves behind two children (22 and 25 y/o) and two grandchildren.

You know, sometimes you meet good people, and they aren’t Catholic, but they have a heart of gold. This woman suffered mightily, was selfless, and focused her energy on raising her children.

I ask for prayers for her soul and for her family.

May your wife’s aunt rest in peace. May her family find comfort during this grieving process in the Lord and in the support of each other.

Lord, mercifully welcome this departed aunt with a welcoming trumpet of heavenly angels. Seat her at a privileged seat at the eternal table. Comfort with many graces all those who grieve from this departure. Cultivate in them, somehow, through the mystery of suffering, faith, hope, love, courage, wisdom, understanding, and temperance. Spare this whole family any further darkness dwelling in this fallen, temporal world. Have mercy, Lord. Our Lady, angels, and saints, pray with us. Amen.
