Please pray for our Bishop-Elect, whose installation is today. Pray that God pours out His Holy Spirit upon all authority given to our new Bishop, that he be holy, that he govern with love, wisdom…strength and courage, that he be led only by God, that he turn his back on any choices or decisions that do not honor God, or that do not lift up the lordship of Christ, our King. Amen.

Prayer for a Bishop

God, eternal shepherd, You tend Your Church and
rule us with love. You have chosen this bishop to be
a shepherd of Your flock.

Give him courage, right judgment, love, and knowledge.
By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care,
may he build Your Church as a sign of salvation for
the world. Through Christ Our Lord, amen.
