Sorry that I have not updated everyone lately on my son’s condition, just been very busy with things and not on CAF much. So, other than the leukemia, Josh contracted a serious fungal pneumonia about 1 month ago, and therefore, the prognosis got even worse for him. The doctors said he probably wouldn’t get rid of the pneumonia even with the anti-fungal medication (which is extremely toxic to the body in general) because his immune system is so bad. However, after three weeks of intravenous medication every day, the follow up CAT scan showed that the pneumonia had disappeared, compared to the scan taken three weeks earlier. His immune system even improved dramatically. Doctor was very surprised at the improvement, as he wasn’t expecting to see that. I am confident that all the prayers helped immensely with that outcome.

Unfortunately, his leukemia has gotten much worse in the last week because they haven’t been able to treat it with chemo because of the infection that was going on. The problem now is that suddenly he is not benefiting from the blood transfusions that are a regular thing with him lately, his body somehow is rejecting the transfusions, so his Hgb blood count has been falling steeply and making him very weak. Yesterday, the doctor said that unless the transfusions start working better to raise his blood count, he doesn’t think Josh will survive another week. He needs much prayer now more than ever, and we are still very hopeful that God will answer in the way we request, but if it doesn’t turn out the way we hope, then let God’s will be done. Thanks to everyone who takes a moment to pray for Josh today.

Just wanted to say that our 23 yr. old son Josh passed away and entered into heaven last Thursday evening, August 10. He died peacefully in the arms of his wife of only 4 months, and his family. Burial was yesterday. Thank you all so much for the prayers of support over the last 9 months, and we continue to ask for your prayers as we mourn our great loss here on earth, as heaven rejoices.
