This email was sent regarding one of our parishioners in Syracuse. Please remember her in your prayers and rosaries. Feel free to PM me if you would like any other info.

Dear Friends:

As most of you know, Alicia Bradley is dying of a brain tumor. She currently has 4 daughters at the Dominicans in Massena, 2 sons at BVM in Syracuse, and 3 small children at home in Cuba, New York. She also has a son in college, and is expecting a baby this fall.
Alicia is Colleen Edwards’ sister-in-law. The Edwards have agreed to take the three younger children (ages 4, 2, 1) starting next week. Along with the 2 boys they currently have living with them, this equates to a large household. If you do the math, it works out to be 13 children.

As you can imagine, the Edwards are spending a lot of time on the phone with family, and that is on top of managing their own children, and soon to be 5 additional. In order to alleviate a little bit of the chaos,
I have offered to help out the Edwards by serving as a coordinator for any help that we as parishioners can give to them.

Though this list may change, as the situation is very fluid, here are a few things that might help:
  1. Families to take the 2 school-age Bradley boys (John age 12, Daniel age 6) on Wednesday afternoons.
  2. Freezer meals
  3. Freezer quick breads.
  4. Drivers for the Massena girls.
  5. Select babysitting for the Edwards – maybe a night out.
Of course, prayer for a cure, prayer for a holy death, prayer for the family to have strength is at the top of any list that might be made.

Please contact me if you are available for any of these current needs.

Thank you in advance!
In Maria,

Will do. Prayers asking Our Lady of Lourdes and St Bernadette for their intercession.

Alicia has been in my thoughts and prayers since I heard about her two months ago. My Catholic ND recently recommended me to a doctor who sees cancer victims. This doctor herself is a cancer survivor. Many people go to her when nothing else works and she has been able to help them. If anyone knows how to put me in contact with Alicia or someone in her family, this doctor may be able to help.
