This sad news was posted on another forum a couple of hours ago. Memory eternal!
…Fr. Irenaeus Dionne, deacon of Saint Andrew’s, passed away this morning.
May his memory be eternal…

Please pray for his eternal repose. Fr. Irenaeus’ wife, Anna, passed away a little over a year ago. He missed her so much.

ENCOUNTER 2012 is going on now near St. Andrew’s and our Sunday Divine Liturgy will be at their church.
 
Very very Sad. He was (IS!) a wonderful, holy man. All of us at St. Andrew’s loved him very much and will sorely miss him. He was always so warm joyful despite the obvious suffering he was experiencing - such an example! He was determined to serve the Church to the end. I’m somewhat shocked, having seen and talked with him last Sunday, and he didn’t seem any worse than usual.

Eternal Memory!
 
Be mindful, O Lord, of Fr. Irenaeus Dionne and all who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection unto eternal life. Shelter them in a place of brightness, a place of verdure, a place of repose, whence all sickness, sorrow, and sighing have fled away, and where the sight of Your countenance rejoices all Your saints from all ages. Grant them Your kingdom and a portion in Your ineffable and eternal blessings, and the enjoyment of Your unending life. For You are the Resurrection and the Life and the Repose of Your departed servants, O Christ, and to You we ascribe glory, together with Your Father, who is from everlasting, and Your all-holy, good, and life-giving Spirit, now and forever. Amen.
