For a very short back story, I’m being baptized into the Catholic Church on Saturday, and I’m a little anxious and nervous. I keep telling myself that God has been my life-line in my life so many times, that this is exactly what he wants for me. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety, and I find that when I’m my worst I just pray and pray and pray, sometimes even fasting for several days at a time. I love the Lord with all my heart and soul, and nothing would ever cause me to denounce my faith and love for Jesus - I just can’t figure out why I’m so tense about this.

So, my friends, could you please remember me (and all the other soon-to-be-baptized) in your prayers in the next few days? We all need your support in each individual parish - remember that little extra effort to go over to one of them that you’ve never spoken to and just telling them how happy you are that they’re right where they need to be goes a very long way.

Prayerfully,
~ Elou ~

Dear Elou, I will remember you in these Easter ceremonies and Masses, you, and others who are also becoming Catholics this week.

God bless you abundantly with faith and faithfulness.

“This…is what I pray before the Father from whom every family, whether spiritual or natural, takes its name: Out of His infinite glory, may He give you the power through His Spirit for your hidden self to grow strong, so that Christ may live in your hearts through faith, and then, planted in love and built on love, you will with all the saints have strength to grasp the breadth and the length, the height and the depth; until, knowing the love of Christ, which is beyond all knowledge, you are filled with the utter fullness of God.”

“Glory be to Him whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine; glory be to Him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen.” [Ephesians 3: 14-21]

Praying for you and for all who are being baptized into the Church this Easter!

Praying that Christ is now within you! 🙂

O Lord, Holy Father, omnipotent and eternal God, I give You thanks and I bless Your holy name. I know I’m a poor miserable sinner but hear a cause that is just, turn your ear to my prayer. Amen

Prayers for your intentions….

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy Kingdom come; Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen.

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins. Save us from the fires of Hell; lead all souls into Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy mercy. Amen.

Lord Jesus, hear my prayers. Amen

“If God brings it to you- God will bring you through it.”
