Prayers for Vicki's sister who committed suicide

I went to a group meeting on Friday, and a friend named Vicki had been absent the week before this past Friday. She missed the meeting because her 22 yr old sister was being buried.

I think Vicki’s sister’s name is Dana, but I am not too sure. When Vicki arrived at the meeting I gave her a hug and expressed my condolences. She then began telling me what happened. Her sister was married and had a 3 yr old boy. She said her sister was very depressed and had been on strong anti-depressants for years.

2 wks ago, her sister, the DH and DS were going to go on vacation and the night before, when the DH was bathing DS, she took off in her car. Dh was worried so he went to look for her and he found her car not too far from their home. He approached the car and found her dead w/a bullet shot in the head. :eek: 😦 She left a note in case police found her saying it was a suicide and found her license next to the note. The poor guy got to see his wife in this condition.

She left a family who adored her and now they are all devastated and completely in shock. She never spoke up about being suicidal, so it came as a HUGE surprise. Her boy now has dreams of “monsters in Heaven”. I think he saw his mom in the car when the husband found her.

Please pray that God may forgive her for her actions and allow her to go home to Him. May he bring peace to this family so they can cope w/this horrible chapter in their lives.
 
Heavenly Father, I pray that You show mercy on this woman’s soul, and that You pour Your strength and healing onto her husband and little boy. And please Father, cause the fears in this little boy’s dreams to leave him so that he knows heaven is a good place, the place we all pray we will “come home” to someday. In the name of Your son Jesus. Amen.

I too have serious depression and know full well how hard it can be. 😦
There is still much hope for this woman. The church places those who commit suicide, with other factors such as depression, serious illness, ect “in the Merciful Hands of God!” What better place is there to be. I am sure this woman had some mental issues behind all this. There is still certainly much hope here. :gopray2:
 
Finding a loved one dead is a horrible thing especially under those circumstance’s. My prayers for Dana and her family.

Praying for I know their pain. My 22 yr old grandson committed suicide just ten days ago. 😦

Praying for them all. And indeed God is merciful. He knows the heart and its pain. Have confidence in His great love and Mercy.

Heavenly Father, please have mercy on the soul of the young woman called Dana, that she be received into your heavenly kingdom, and that her illnesses be not a barrier to come into your hands. Amen. :gopray2:
 
For Vicki’s sister and also for Maggie’s grandson…for all grieving family and friends. May the souls of the departed and all souls throughGod’s Mercy rest in His Peace and may he comfort and console all grieving family and friends…
