Back in May 2016, I posted a prayer request here, and thought I would update it. Much has changed for the better. Here is part of my original post.
I also am having a hard time with a tough boss who is down on me. I am worried about damage to my career or being let go eventually. It has caused me much anxiety this past year.
I also have a 13 year old son who has Autism and is only minimally verbal. He still has not had his first communion as he has severe sensitivities to textures and tastes. Need prayers of healing and to the Holy Spirit to inspire him to receive the Blessed Sacrament.
I have a Mother in Law who is Jewish, but is involved in Eastern meditation practices and trying to contact spirits. She needs prayers to leave aside occult practices and return to God.
I also have a brother who is gay, and yet who would love to have a family. He is finally without a partner for once, and I pray that he will stay single for a while and be inspired to go to reconciliation and discern God’s plan for him.
My father is suffering from dementia and needs prayers as well.
Update: The boss is gone. We are soon to get a new boss - likely one with little experience and most likely someone who does not have a family. I am now hoping to transfer to another duty post where two old bosses of mine work, and I hope to have an opportunity to concentrate better and also get more exercise. I will be eligible to retire in 5 years, God willing.
My son is now 15 and still suffers from Autism. He is doing somewhat better, however still has not had his first Communion. He is learning his catechism quite well though, thanks to my wonderful wife’s catholic homeschooling.
My Mother in Law has moved back to the east coast. She is still involved in the same practices. We continue to pray for her.
My brother is still single. He has decided to continue to live alone - for a while and his embracing his faith. I found out he had been suffering from a drug addiction as well, however he is now in AA and is finding great peace with this.
My father is still living, and he and my mother have found a home health care worker who is wonderful and takes care of their every need. He also is Catholic!
I thank you all for your many prayers and good intentions. I truly believe it is helping. I ask for your continued prayers for these intentions. I feel God’s mercy has poured out on us this past year and showered us with His graces. Thank you all so much for your help!! God bless you all!!!
