Prayers for young mom and baby

I appreciate all your prayers. I’m back for more. Joanie’s new liver is not functioning, so she is back on the transplant list. I don’t know more than that at this point, but I will update if I find out anything else.

Almighty and Eternal God,
You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You.
Hear us for Your sick servant Joanie,
For whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy,
That being restored to bodily health,
She may give thanks to You in Your Church.
Through Christ our Lord.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession was left unaided. Asking Our Lady to intercede for Joanie…

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
 
Today I am excited to come with good news. Last Friday, after Joanie’s liver failed, an EEG showed no brain activity. They took her off the transplant list and said they would reduce her sedative load and do another EEG on Monday. Friday night, Joanie’s dad told my mom that he didn’t think she would make it 48 hours. But Monday when they reduced her sedatives, she opened her eyes! She was able to respond to light and pain. And, her new liver had started to function. All of us, including the doctors, are amazed. The doctors say they have never seen a patient wake up after more than 4 days without a functioning liver – Joanie has gone 15 days! People all around the country have been praying for her and God has heard us. Please continue to pray for this family as neither of them are out of the woods, but add many prayers of thanks to our petitions!
