Prayers needed that I'll get this job

At a time like this, with the tragedy of Katrina, I feel selfish asking for prayers that I will get the job I interviewed for. But I haven’t worked since May of 2004. I desperately need this job. I’m well qualified for it and I know it’s now in God’s hands. Prayers for the victims of Katrina are definitely more important but I would really appreciate if you could slip me into your prayers.

I can relate. I’m having a rough time at work, but I feel so selfish praying about it–I have a job, my house, food in my fridge, etc, so what am I really worried about?. So, I’ll pray for you!! I hope you’ll get the job!

Hey Maggie and Twiztedseraph - I’ll send prayers to heaven today for both of you at noon mass.

It is not selfish of you to pray for your needs. God has such an enormous loving heart that He realizes we still have personal needs that need to be fulfilled according to His will.

As long as our prayers are not all self- centered, God knows our hearts.
 
Count me in the group praying for you too. We all have our needs and I’ve heard that God is big enough to take care of more than one thing at a time.

Not only that, but your needs are every bit as important to him as those hurt by the hurricane! 🙂

Maggie, when do you think you’ll hear something? When my DH was job searching a couple years ago, the waiting after interviews was almost as nerve-wracking as the looking for jobs to interview for.

EEEKK I GOT EXAMS AND I’VE BEEN SICK FOR TWO WEEKS!!! This year determines what I can do in senior years which detrmines my University course, I need help!!!

Being blessed with a job I love and the best workmates in the world, I don’t forget to thank God every day.
But I do know what it’s like to be without that security (not to mention the good “therapy” of having a fulfilling job).

So I pray for you, UtahMaggie, that you will get this job (or if God has a better one for you, that you will find it, soon!)

And I pray that things will work out for you OK at work, Aurora77, so that your “rough time” will come to an end.
