I told my mom about my issues with OCD a few weeks ago and she was understanding of it, so now she’s more aware.
But today I was attacked by intrusive thoughts that made me think I got possessed :eek:
I blessed myself with Holy Water but I’ve had a dull, throbbing headache ever since the incident. I felt shaky and have had muscle aches and felt nervous.

Please pray for me and for other people who suffer from similar afflictions

St. Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou,
O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God,
thrust into hell Satan,
and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

O glorious prince St. Michael,
chief and commander of the heavenly hosts,
guardian of souls, vanquisher of rebel spirits,
servant in the house of the Divine King

as patroness of those afflicted with mental, emotional,
and nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and
a symbol of charity to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure,
youthful martyr, relief and consolation to all
suffering such trials, and especially those for whom we pray.

We beg you, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna
on our behalf. Grant all those for whom we
pray patience in their sufferings and resignation
to your divine will. Please fill them with hope,
and grant them the relief and cure they so desire.

We ask this through Christ our Lord, who
suffered agony in the garden. Amen.

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Popeye14’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I was happy to see your emoji; it tells me that you recognize those intrusive thoughts for what they truly are instead of giving Satan more power than he has.

Holy water is always a good idea–sacramentals prepare us to receive and cooperate with God’s grace–I use it myself, often when my own stresses give me headaches. You sound as if you’re suffering for righteousness’ sake, which means you’re blessed (1 Peter 3:14). That verse speaks of external persecution, but intrusive thoughts can be just as harmful to the mental peace of Catholics and you’re obviously struggling against them. Good for you!:signofcross:

Prayer for Obsessive Thoughts

Loving Lord Jesus,The Bible says that You came into this world to set free, those who are caught in all kinds of bondages and captivity.Father, You know my present situation and my helplessness, the thing that is continuously haunting my mind. The thing dominates my heart and curbs my freedom and joy. Father, all authority in heaven and on earth is given You and so Lord, You have all the power to set me free from these chains of thoughts that obsess my mind. You want Your children to live a victorious life on this earth. Lord, I pray that this bondage which steals away my happiness and peace of mind be shattered right now. Let Your power remove these evil thoughts and establish peace in my heart.Father, I commit my thoughts into Your mighty hands. I thank You for relieving me from this obsession. Thank You Lord for answering my prayer.Amen.
