Prayers/Novenas/Saints for those in need of work?

I have a good friend who is in need of a job. He is engaged to marry and needs to find a job in the new locale where he will be moving.

Does anyone know of any special prayers or novenas for those who are trying to find work? Is there any saint who is especially known for their intercession in this regard (besides, I guess, the obvious–St. Joseph the Worker)?

Knowing that we must pray in accord with God’s will, I think that if my friend finds a job it will help him immensely in his first years of marriage. Thanks.

Wow I do not know beyond St. Joseph. Maybe Mother Theresa…she was a hard working sister!

Also…keep your friend’s spirits up with this 😉 :

My husband found his job one month before our wedding. THEN, one WEEK after we were married we had to make a cross country move (north to south.) We didn’t even have a honeymoon…it was a honeyMOVE instead. 😃 So you see it IS possible, it might just be a last minute opportunity he is willing to jump on…even sacrifice the honeymoon, reception, etc. to secure the opportunity. 👍

On EWTN’s website there is a wonderful 30 days prayer to St. Joseph for any special intention.

St. Joseph always helps me and joined with the intercession of Our Lady before the throne of God, I have never been disappointed.

I am searching for a job as well and I prayed the 30 day novena to St. Joseph as well as a novena to St. Jude.

I have also asked for the intercession of St. Padre Pio and John Paul II

I will be praying for you.
