Prayers, Saints, and comfort

it’s 2:22 AM. I don’t know how to post anonymus but I want to.

A dear friend is in a very dark place right now. lost, unsure about a relationship he is having, claims everything is being taken away.

are there any prayers that are dedicated for friends, those of us that are lost, etc.???

any saints or anyone that is known to come from a dark background or troubled past to rise above it?

any help is thanked, I’ll try to level my head and type more later

St Augustine had a conversion from a dark type of life.

Pray to Mary , Guardian Angel, St Jude, St Rita, St Therese, St Joseph, St Anne, Holy Spirit, Jesus, and the Father

Honestly, I think the most effective prayer for you to offer at this time is the one from your heart directly to Our Father in heaven. The the prayer without form or history. The prayer that just pours forth extemporaneously in thought, in word, in tears and in hope.

That said, I’m sure there are many saints who have come from dark places and I am sure others will offer you wonderful suggestions.
