Prayers To God from a single wanting a Spouse

Do you think God would send a unmarried person praying for a partner, their spouse? I used to pray so hard for a wife when I was in my 20’s and lost patience… Unfortunately I ended up completely straying from my faith before I reached 30. I wound up marrying at age 39 for all the wrong reasons in a “marriage” that was an adulterous relationship. It “lasted” 6 years… Now I can’t help wondering, if now, at age 55, it’s too late to think I can have a wife in a blessed Catholic marriage.
Should I even dare to pray for a wife now???

You should really make an appointment and talk to a priest. He will be able to know details of your marriage that you wouldn’t and shouldn’t reveal here, and give you a real answer. I wish you all the best, I can tell from your posts that you have a longing for love in your life. Start with your relationship with Jesus. Let him fill your heart when it is empty.

If you pray, He will surely send you something! Maybe a spouse. Maybe something else. But He will hear you!

God answers all prayers. He does not mess with free will, so, He is not going to send a lady to your front porch who rings the bell and says “God sent me”.

On the other hand, one of my dad’s best friends met his wife when the man dialed a wrong number.
