This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

Dear God, as I begin this day
let me turn my thoughts to You,
and ask for Your help in guiding me
in everything I say and do.

Give me the patience that I need
to keep my peace of mind,
and with life’s cares, I hope, Dear God,
some happiness to find.

Let me live but for today,
not worrying what’s ahead,
For I have trust that You will see
I get my “Daily Bread”.

Give me the courage to face life’s trials
and not from trouble run,
let me keep this thought in mind,
“Thy Will”, not “Mine” be done.

And if some wish I do not get
though I have prayed to thee,
help me to believe and understand
You know what’s best for me.

I’ve failed You many times, I know,
but when tonight I rest,
I hope that I can kneel and say,
“Dear God, I’ve tried my best”.
Amen

God my Father in heaven, I pledge my allegiance to You. I offer You my life, my work, and my heart. In turn give me the grace of obeying Your every direction, to the fullest possible extent.
Amen

Sacred Heart of Jesus, through the Immaculate heart of Mary, I offer You the prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day. For all the intentions of your Sacred Heart. In union with the holy sacrifice of the mass throughout the world. In reparation for my sins, and for the intentions of the Holy Father.
Amen

Blessed Mother of Jesus, protect our Holy Pope, Francis, and bless his intentions.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and Blessed is the Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our deaths.
Amen

**What energy was thine, Apollonia! Thy persecutors threaten thee with fire; but far from fearing it, thou art impatient for it, as though it were a throne, and thou ambitious to be queen. Thy dread of sin took away the fear of death, nor didst thou wait for man to be thy executioner. This thy courage surprises our cowardice; and yet, the burning pile,–into which thou didst throw thyself when asked to apostatise, and which was a momentary pain leading thy soul to eternal bliss,–was nothing when we compare it with that everlasting fire, to which the sinner condemns himself, almost every day of his life. He heeds not the flames of hell, and deems it no madness to purchase them at the price of some vile passing pleasure. And with all this, worldlings can be scandalised at the Saints, and call them exaggerated, extravagant, imprudent,–because they believed that there is but one thing necessary!

Awaken in our hearts, Apollonia, the fear of sin, which gnaws for eternity the souls of them who die with its guilt upon them. If the fire, which had a charm for thee, seems to us the most frightful of tortures, let us turn our fear of suffering and death into a preservative against sin, which plunges men into that abyss, whence the smoke of their torments shall ascend forever and ever (Apoc. xiv. 11), as St. John tells us in his Revelations. Have pity on us, most brave and prudent Martyr. Pray for sinners. Open their eyes to see the evils that threaten them. Get us the fear of God, that so we may merit his mercies, and begin in good earnest to love Him.

Amen.**

This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24

The Lord is my Shepherd,
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,
He leadeth me beside still waters.
He restoreth my soul. And yea,
though I walk
through the Valley of the Shadow of Death,
I will fear no evil,
for Thou are with me.
Thy rod and Thy staff,
they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy
shall follow me all the days of my life.
And I will live in the
house of the Lord
forever. Amen.

:gopray2:

All praise to You, O God, this night,
For all the blessings of the light.
Keep us, we pray, O King of Kings,
Beneath Your own almighty wings.

Forgive us, Lord, through Christ Your Son,
Whatever wrong this day we’ve done.
Your peace give to the world, O Lord,
That we might live in one accord.

Enlighten us, O blessed Light,
And give us rest throughout the night.
O strengthen us, that for Your sake,
We all may serve You when we wake.
Amen

:gopray2:

God my Father in Heaven, You love me and see my every sin. I call on You now as the merciful Father, forgive my every sin. Wash away the stains on my soul so that I may once again rest in complete innocence. I rely on You Father in Heaven; I trust You, I love You, and I thank You.
Amen

throughout the world, seeking the ruin of souls.
