Prayers to Overcome My Doubts About Returning

Long story short, I left Catholicism a few years back and, despite exploring and practicing other faiths, I’m finally open to returning to the Church. But I’m having impeding doubts, specifically when it comes to science and evolution and the literal existence of Adam and Eve. The whole faith and need for salvation hinge upon their existence and fall and, if I could just get this doubt out of the way, reconversion would be much easier.
 
Faith and science are not in conflict, given that each address their own realm. Genesis speaks to a reality of our faith, but isn’t necessarily a science text. Perhaps you might want to research this (the view of the Church and Catholic scientists) little to gain insight and understanding.

 
Father allow this man to see the world and stars that God created. May he find his way back to God and Jesus. May he listen to you word and see your signs. In your name, Jesus amen!
 
In Praise of the Power to Believe

Most Precious Lord Jesus, gentle and wonderful
Savior, Almighty Father, and ever-present Holy Spirit,
I love You.

I praise You for giving me the power to believe.
Sometimes my belief is strong, and sometimes it
weakens. But I never doubt that Jesus died for me
on the Cross.

Sometimes I have questions about all manner
of things. Yet I praise You, for You give me strength
to believe.

I praise You, for You are with me each day.

I praise You, for You have made me Your humble
servant.

I praise You, for You help me push away the evil one,
who wants me to be selfish.

I praise You, for You help me place as much as I
can into Your hands.

All these things I humbly pray in the name of my
most Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, my almighty God
and Father, and my ever-present Holy Spirit. Amen.

I like what GK Chesterton said when he said Original sin is the one thing about the Christian faith that you can demonstrate. You just have to look around you.
