I have had a tough year. I found my mom’s lung cancer (nonsmoker) and cared for her at my home until she passed away before Christmas. All of our family pitched in but it was tough physically and emotionally. Jan 3rd I had a severe headache and was diagnosed with MS which is still giving me symptoms. Now I have a borderline breast mass which needs to be removed July 3rd. I know I sound whining, but I am trying to walk in obedience to God’s plan for my life. I recognize good things that have happened in my marriage and with my three children through this all. Still, I feel afraid all the time-- not for myself but for my children who deserve a mother such as I am. I ask prayers that I grow in courage as I accept whatever God’s plan is for me. Thank you.

Mother Mary pray for this child of yours.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Lord God, bless babydoc with peace and strength. Grant her grace to endure these troubles in the kindness and love of your Spirit. Grant her also your Comforter to stand by her. Hold her in your arms. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Dear friend, you have more than your share of troubles. I ask our God to allow you to continue to be the good and active mother to your children that you have always striven to be.
I am sad that you have such big issues to deal with, especially the on-going issue of MS. I hug you with my heart and prayers, Trishie

Jesus please be very kind to this good person.

You’re not sounding whiny at all.

You and your family are in my prayers tonight.

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Let us raise our eyes to Christ. For his people he was born; he died; he rose from the dead. So let us put our trust in him and pray:
  • Lord, give salvation to those you redeemed with your blood.
Blessed are you, Jesus, saviour of mankind. You did not hesitate to suffer and die for us:
by your precious blood we are redeemed.
You promised to give water welling up into eternal life:
pour out your Spirit over all mankind.
You sent your disciples to preach the Good News to the nations:
help them to extend the victory of your Cross.
The sick and poor share your cross:
give them the gifts of strength and patience.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Almighty Father, let your light soak deeply into our minds.
Stepping forward in the light of your commandments,
may we follow you always, our leader and our guide.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

I’m so sorry for all that you are going through. You are in my prayers now!!!

As another poster stated, you are not sounding whiny at all- feelings of fear and over-absorption with earthly troubles are a normal occurance for everyone. Thanks be that we have ways of growing through these times with the help of our Lord.

You, and your family, are in my prayers.

Babydoc:

I’m sorry to hear all what you have gone through and going through in these past 7 months. Trust the Lord and offer up your anxiety to him.

Prayerfully,
Renato

Prayers for the courage of Daniel. I don’t know why he came to mind during prayer, it must mean something.:gopray:

I will be happy to pray for you…and you are not whining. God bless you!

I don’t find you whiney at all. Praying for your happiness and peace of mind!

I thank you all for your heartfelt prayers. I feel an infusion of courage (the courage of Daniel?) to walk in obedience whatever shall befall me.

God bless all you sisters and brothers in the Faith.

Thank you.

Think of bad luck not being bad luck, but rather challenges that have been given to you to help you grow.

God might have some important plans for you in the future that he is preparing you for now, so you can deal with them later. Perhaps he plans to put you in a position in the future where your help will be desperately required by others in distress.

Everyone loses a family member at some time in his life so as sad as it is, it is the “norm.”
Between 70% to 80% of women who have had breast biopsies are told they are non-cancerous so hopefully you will be in the majority.
MS isn’t easy to deal with but you could’ve been handed worse.

If you really WANT the courage, God will give it to you. All in all when he takes away some gifts he gives you others. Empathy and understanding, for example, are two of life’s most precious gifts that are very hard to achieve without having experienced grief beforehand. Good luck and wish you the best! Believe it or not, He “IS” looking out for you!

Continued prayers, babydoc …

Prayers and Intercessions

God has raised Mary the mother of Christ above every created thing in heaven and earth. We pray to him:
  • In the name of the Mother of your Son, hear our prayers.
Compassionate Father, we thank you for giving us Mary as our mother and our example.
Through her intercession, sanctify our hearts.
You made Mary your faithful servant obedient to your word.
Through her intercession, give us the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
You gave Mary strength as she stood by the Cross; at your Son’s resurrection you filled her with joy.
Through her intercession free us from tribulation and make us strong in hope.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

O God, you are the source of our salvation.
May we proclaim your glory all our lives,
and even in heaven may we never cease to praise you.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.
