Praying for employment

Hello everyone. Would appreciate your prayers in finding a job that would help us pay the bills. It doesn’t even have to be high paying but hopefully full time with health benefits.

I am over 60 years old and just graduated from a local college after going to school for two years after being laid off in 2017 from a job of over three decades. My previous job went overseas.

So far I’ve had one job interview (last week) but more are on the way. Please pray for God’s Will to be done and for me to understand and accept it. My wife recently had breast cancer lumpectomy and is starting radiation soon. Would appreciate your prayers for her, too, and for our ability to pay for her care.

God, our Father, we turn to you seeking your divine help and guidance as we look for suitable employment. We need your wisdom to guide our footsteps along the right path, and to lead us to find the proper things to say and do in this quest. We wish to use the gifts and talents you have given us, but we need the opportunity to do so with gainful employment. Do not abandon us, dear Father, in this search, but rather grant us this favor we seek so that we may return to you with praise and thanksgiving for your gracious assistance. Grant this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with her bodily health restored, she may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Through Christ our Lord.

O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.

You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.

You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.

Well that’s good! Hopefully something will come along soon for you full time. It’s a hard time of year to find employment.
