I was just wondering what the Catholic position was on praying to Orthodox saints ( including the Romanovs) or whether that was allowed.

In 2000 the Russian Orthodox Church made the executed Romanov royal family saints, to be prayed to and intercede. As a Catholic may I pray to them? Could they be considered saints in the Catholic Church, in a sense?

I personally think they were kind people, (although with a strong Marie-Antoinnette complex IMO 😊)

Thoughts?

They’re Orthodox saints. So best not to ask them for intercession.

From what I know the Orthodox churches even make Old Testament figures into saints, which I think the Catholic Church doesn’t do.
