Praying with unbeliever

Is it allowable or wise to pray Catholic prayers with an unbeliever if they are willing to pray with you or is this disrespecting our God and church?

i would feel pretty blessed to find myself in such a situation. what better way to share the gospel than by directly introducing a non-believer to jesus in prayer?

There is not a problem with praying with anyone, unless of course they are worshiping Satan I guess. I have always believed that God is present and regardless of a persons faith who may be with me, it is fine to pray with them. I think it would be a mistake to refuse an opportunity for prayer with another.

How will this person be exposed to prayer or to God if not through you?

Pray with them for the intentions of the Church & pray for them.

I have prayed with non-Catholics before, using the Hail Mary. However, I have felt called to pray with others with the Lord’s Prayer instead, so that we can pray together.

I can’t see how, though, it would be disrespecting God or Church.
