Yeah. Bad assumption.The part I objected to was when he said “A person who dies in Original Sin without receiving sanctifying grace would descend into hell”. Sanctifying Grace is usually used as a shorthand for baptism, so I assume that’s what he was talking about here.
When an unbaptized adult or baby in the womb dies and yet is saved, the natural conclusion (given the reality of original sin) is that they receive sanctifying grace, albeit not through baptism. (The same holds for ‘baptism of desire’ and ‘baptism of blood’.) So, although I get what you’re saying here, it still doesn’t rise to the accusation that he’s lying.
