Has there been a formal study on whether there is a correlation between premarital sex and oral infidelity? I’m curious to know and appreciate those willing to take a poll.

I meant marital infidelity not oral infidelity

I was thinking and wondering who thinks that oral sex is not premarital sex.

Seriously couldn’t infidelity include written communication through email and be considered emotional infidelity.

The poll makes no sense… what are you asking?

Are you trying to ask:

I had sex before marriage and have not cheated

I did not have sex before marriage and cheated

I had sex before marriage and cheated

I did not have sex before marriage and have not cheated

Something like that?

For some reason I can’t vote on this poll…is this because I am a new member?

If you want general public opinions, you posted this poll in the wrong forum. I can already tell you how your results are going to come out. Actually they aren’t going to change at all from waht they are right now.

Ha ha ha! Marital infidelity is simply marital infidelity. We do not classify them into oral or written. But anyway, maybe we should classify them as such henceforth.😃

The poll won’t really work because the responses are all lumped together, whereas they would have to be categorized according to the prior answers, to derive meaning.
If the results could be seen taht way, , one could see for example, if those couples who had premaritial sex were more or less faithful after their marriage, etc.

But it cannot be done that way as an internet poll.

I think I’m trying to ask too many questions

Is premaital sex correlated with marital infidelity and/or use of birth control?
Do you consider oral sex premarital sex?
Does emotional infidelity equal marital infidelity?
Is failing to disclose when not asked specifically about oral sex as bad as lying when asked the direct question?

I spend entirely too much time thinking about these things and could use some moral support from anyone who has been on the honest side of a relationship.

Pre-marital sex in general, or pre-marital sex with your current spouse and no one else. I think that may matter some. Do you mean birth control period, or artificial birth control? These specifications probably make a difference.

Good point
Premarital sex with someone other than spouse
Artificial birth control

Given the CAF audience the poll will be biased towards those who are faithul and didn’t engaged in premaital sex with someone other than spouse and who don’t us birth control.

Is premaital sex correlated with marital infidelity and/or use of birth control? This is two separate questions, and I have not read studies on either.

Do you consider oral sex premarital sex?** Yes. **

Does emotional infidelity equal marital infidelity? No.

Is failing to disclose when not asked specifically about oral sex as bad as lying when asked the direct question?

**Let me make sure I understand the question. **

Joe and Jill have oral sex.

Later, Henry asks Jill "did you have sex with Joe?"

Jill says “no”.

Joe says "Jill and I had oral sex"

Jill says to Harry “I did not lie, you did not say ‘oral sex’”?

In that situation, because of the culture and horrible lack of moral teaching, Jill may not KNOW that oral sex is sex, so, if she is honest depends on what she has been taught.

If nothing else I think people like taking the poll.

I disagree on emotional infidelity. Lighting up emotionally for another person of the opposite sex and being emotionally dead for your spouse–that’s infidelity to me. Anyone else agree?

It’s a sad statement about our society that many don’t know that oral sex is premarital sex. As a catholic when does Jill become responsible for knowing this on her own?
