Why is Kavanaugh considered a prolife judge if he convinced Collins to vote for his confirmation because she trusted him to leave Roe alone?

This interview happened during the campaign. He thought abortion should still occur, only in illegal places.
 
Abortion has occurred since ancient times. Trump knows it is impossible to end all abortion, just like it is impossible to end illegal drug usage. He just wants to do what he can to decrease the number of abortions.

You ask some good questions. I don’t believe Kavenaugh has voted yet on the issue, so we really don’t know how he will vote. I believed he said Roe was settled law. But settled law can be overturned.

The issue with Roe is that the court made abortion legal when it could not have been put into law by the legislature. IMO! If Roe is overturned the state law will control the issue.

If people do illegal acts, that is not a good reason to make them legal. Personally I favor adoption for women who can’t take care of a baby.
