The Presbyterian denomination is an extension of the reformation movement that took place in the 1600’s and it has a lot of very similar beliefs as the Roman Catholic denomination. “What is in a name?”

Well, for starters the Catholic Church is not a denomination. The Catholic Church has concrete historical, doctrinal, and spiritual ties all the way back to the Apostles and to Christ himself, which Presbyterians have departed from and reject outright. The similarities in our faith are significant (you have an orthodox doctrine of God), but the points of division (free will, soteriology, ecclesiology/Sacraments, the Communion of Saints) are monumental and ultimately touch on the relationship between God and his people.

What’s in a name? The authority of Jesus Christ.

O – AND (drum roll). . . the only tulips we have are in the garden 😛 !
