Looking at Witchcraft/Sorcery/Pharmakeia/Pharmacy. Administration of drugs and medication.

Some Pentecostal Christians believe> Going to doctors with medical conditions and being treated and healed through drugs and medication is a Sin of Sorcery.

What is the Roman Catholic Church Stance on all this ?

When you see the word “pharmacy” in the Bible, it more often refers to people who administered abortion-inducing herbs, As far as sorcery is concerned, sorcery is only linked to the pharmacy in the Bible because in the ancient days, the science of chemistry was often associated with witchcraft. Now days, it is a true science in itself, removed of all superstition, and has made the lives of people better through medicine. The Pentecostals are interpreting Scripture in the wrong context and trying to apply something that meant one thing back then and means a different thing now. Unless of course you want to get into the abortion-inducing medicine, which Christians still think is wrong… The Catholic Church teaches that using medicine to cure and heal is not wrong but actually serves the glory of God (the apostle Luke, for instance was a physician), however using medicine to harm or kill someone is mortally wrong. So basically using abortion inducing medicine is wrong but not medicine period. But I hope this helps.
