i can’t remember this priest’s name, but i’m sure many of you have heard him. he’s on the radio sometimes (same station as catholic answers) and has a really loud voice, used to be into occult stuff and is a great preacher on those things now.
anyway, last night he was on and had the best defense of the rosary i’ve ever heard. he said “you say it’s not biblical? bring it on!” and he explained how the rosary IS the gospel so when we’re praying the rosary, we’re praying the gospel. he cited passages for the mysteries of the rosary, the Our Father and Hail Mary. he said that after talking with him, many protestant ministers have realized that they should be praying the rosary too. he had a great line after that: “and guess what happens next? [laughter from the audience] the Mother leads them to her Son.”
this guy is great.

I’ve gotta second what Trelow said. I heard a program that sounds a lot like this very recently, complete with the quote about Protestant ministers, and it was indeed Fr. John Corapi.
What a speaker!

I love him too!!

My question though… I find it sooooo difficult to meditate on the mysteries while I’m SAYING the rosary… it’s like my brain can’t do two things at once. Does anyone else have this problem or a suggestion of how to deal with it? (I’ve only been saying the rosary a short time… maybe it gets easier?)

I’ve seen “The teaching of Jesus Christ” a bunch of talks by Fr Corapi. He is a great minster.
I wanted to buy them (watched them during RCIA for classes I missed due to having a baby), but for the whole series it’s like 300 dollars.

But he is great

I also have a hard time meditating on the mysteries while saying the Rosary. I’m a new Catholic so I haven’t been doing it long.
