Seeing as you quoted my post in the OP I want to ask?
Literally every poster (I could have missed 1) on here is disagreeing with you. And a priest liked a few of them.
Do you still stand by your statement? I am not sure if you expected agreement by posting this in the first place but you didn’t receive any? So are you still wholeheartedly attached to this?

Did the OP ever read their Baltimore Catechism when they were little?
It sez, “A doctrine of faith or morals is a truth revealed by God dealing with what we must believe or what we must do in order to be saved.”
So-- the key isn’t “needs to be taught (possibly because we can’t figure it out on our own?)” but, the key is “must believe/must do for salvation”.
Otherwise, all of our K-12 education is doctrine… being taught math, how to spell, how to read, how to play tetherball… We can be “indoctrinated” in terms of “taught how to think”, but that’s a different usage of the word than the Church uses, just like a how there are secular ideas about how to use/define the word “mystic” or “adore” or “Confession”/“confess”, or “grace”, or “witness”, or whatever, in ordinary conversation, versus how a Catholic might be more likely to use those words.
