Isa - are you saying that Orthodox monks, who make up the bulk of Orthodox Bishops who must choose between marriage and ordination, are lazy? Or does this false dichotomy go away with the Orthodox episcopacy, widowed priests and those who regret their choice of becoming monks?Perhaps its not the lazy but the overworked. Many spend an inordinate time forced to chose between marriage and ordination, when it’s a false dichonomy.
What about the Orthodox rule against marriage AFTER ordination? Where does that fit in?
Why Orthodoxy seems to have as many issues as Catholicism when you look at its episcopacy, widowed priests and those who made a mistake in the first place by becoming monks. And you attack all of it.
I’m stunned you would attack Orthodox praxis in this way? Or are your arguments simply limited to attacking Latin praxis? If so, it strikes me as a limited and false distinction you make.
