Peace be to you my brothers and sisters in Christ.

This is my first post here.* This is also my first public attempt and trying to find that which my soul seeks…

I am a private hermit in vows.* I have been a hermit for over 7 years.

As each year passes, with God’s graceI am able to live closer and closer to that life that St. Antony and the desert hermits lived so many years ago. However, I still own a car because I have to drive to receive the sacraments.* I drive 45 minutes one way*to the nearest church that offers the Traditional Latin Mass; and 1 hour and 45 minutes to the nearest SSPX chapel for mass.

I have searched and searched and inquired about those existing hermitages in the United States (that I am aware of) and I have yet to find a hermitage that offers the Traditional Latin Mass.

Thus, I am now going public to see if anyone might be able to help?* Does anyone know of a hermitage–either in the United States, or in North America, or in the western hemisphere, or in the world that offers the Traditional Latin Mass?

If anyone does know of such a hermitage, then could you please contact me and give me whatever details and information you may have?

I don’t know exactly how these things work.* I do have a GMail email address.* Should I provide that GMail email address here so that I can be contacted?* Or how is the best way for someone to contact me regarding my question and what I seek?

I thank God for you taking the time to read this; and I thank God for any grace that may flow to me in the form of a reply that may help me fulfill what I believe to be God’s Will for my hermit vocation.

Your brother in Christ,

a soul that desires abandonment

If someone can help you they can private message you within the forum.

May our Lord lead you to where He wants you to be.

Have you ever looked into the Carthusian Order? Link to their website:

chartreux.org/en/

The order has one monastery/hermitage in the United States, in Vermont. God bless.

I thought the SSPX weren’t in communion with the Catholic Church.

I’ve heard this too, and I also know that many parishes across the country are doing at least one of their Mass times in Latin.
