I’ve noticed that being pro-this or anti-that is sometimes just different sides of the same coin.
Anti-Islam thinking ignores the facts about Islam and looks only at Islamist rhetoric and actions.
Anti-Catholicism ignores the facts of Catholicism and instead speaks against doctrines that aren’t even Catholic.
Pro-choice thought looks only at the mother (and only in a social sense) and ignores the biological facts of the matter.
It seems that anti-this and pro-that are many times just symptoms of tunnel vision.
