Voting for murdering babies is a mortal sin. Any candidate of any political party who does so and who defends the practice of butchering children in abortuaries is guilty of the innocent blood shed because of their support and is guilty of mortal sin. In a Representative Government, such as that of the United States, we vote for people who vote and act in our name, thus we cannot vote for candidates who promote or defend the slaughter of innocent children. To do so is to cooperate is this great evil. "In the case of an intrinsically unjust law, such as a law permitting abortion or euthanasia, it is therefore never licit to obey it, or to take part in a propaganda campaign in favour of such a law, or vote for it." - Evangelium Vitae, 73. Voting for such a candidate is inexcusable for a Catholic. For those Catholics who will defend their pro-death candidates, there is no excuse. Saying “Oh, well she would help the poor and the environment and be nice to immigrants, etc., etc.” does not make up for him/her wanting to butcher babies. A valid comparison is someone who voted for Hitler and said “He is going to really help Germany recover from the war and the depression, he is going to make us a great power again. It’s just too bad he wants to kill Jews. I mean, I don’t like that, but look at all the good he does.” The evil of child-killing outweighs any perceived good. What good is having a job if you got aborted? What good is being able to immigrate to and remain in the USA if you got aborted? What good is clean water and healthcare if you got aborted? For any of that to matter, one must first be born. Well, that concludes my post. I felt called to post this here because it is very upsetting that so many “Catholics” will vote for pro-Death candidates, as evidenced by the amount of Catholics who voted for Obama and Clinton. Remember, the Abortion Holocaust may be “silent” in the sense that we do not see it all around us happening the same way people saw the events of the Holocaust, the mass murder perpetrated by the Communists, or the the Rwandan Genocide, but it is still THE most important social concern. Not only does it take the lives of so many (the most important thing), it also leads to a culture of death that more readily accepts murdering babies, contraception use, divorce, euthanasia, and so on (second most important thing), and it will cause economic problems due to smaller birth rate and more old people than young people (worldly concerns, so obviously the least important, though still important.)
