If you could me please…
What’s the best point by point refutation one can make to this comment?,
“Pay attention! Current administration’s budget proposals cut 3.5 billion from the WIC (Women, infants and children program). We defund planned parenthood and access to women’s healthcare and low/no cost birth control. We want to eliminate abortion and allow companies to opt out of providing no cost birth control due to moral/religious reasons. Apparently sex is only for those that can afford the access to reproductive healthcare. As so commonly heard, the other women can simply keep their legs shut. If you want to affect the number of abortions, then provide the means to prevent pregnancy. Or help these women after the babies are born. What does pro life actually mean?”

The only bad thing in here is defunding WIC tbh (less access to healthcare and no post partum aid also). Whoever said this won’t be convinced of anything, don’t argue with them.

More resources for struggling mothers is a good idea. But, the problem is is that people view sex as their right to have when that’s simply not the case. Also, a lot of people treat sex as a recreational activity and it will require a major cultural change to address that.

Good point …Thanks for asking. To me she is a liberal non practicing Catholic …that is for abortion rights …no, not currently in a debate …it is her post on facebook

I can’t imagine there is an argument that will sway a person who thinks other people should pay for their birth control. I remember when the public outcry was that it was no body’s business what goes on in the bedrooms of the nation. Now it’s turned into the nation has to pay for my birth control. Buy your own birth control and take care of it yourself because it’s no body’s business what goes on in your bedroom.

I recommend you obtain Randy Alcorn’s book ProLife Answers to ProChoice Arguments.

Regarding aid: Reducing funding for WIC and other programs that help poor families isn’t something a pro life person should be in favor of. I’m not.

We do not have to debate every face book post out there.

Is this person in your family or a real life friend? If so, your example of love and joy in her life ought to allow for some conversation over coffee that is civilized and respectful.

If not, do you think that this fb friend has such influence over her followers that you must present facts to the contrary? The post you shared is a very worn set of talking points that have been around for years, nothing is an original debate.

Consider if your online debate will bring light or will it simply end up in more disparaging comments.
