Problem with intinction help

at my parish about 70-80% of the congregation personal intinct the body.

that is they receive communion in the hand, walk about 4m, and then dunk the body into the blood and then consume it.

My understanding of this is that its an abuse against the body of Christ.

We don’t have the same priest every Sunday so its difficult to talk to someone about it

what should i do?

You are correct, self-intinction is forbidden.

If there is no one priest in charge of the parish (a permenant pastor), you should contact the Bishop who has authority in your area.

I was instructed as an EMC that when some one approaches the cup bearer for intinction, the EMC is to take the host from them, intinct it and them place it on the Comunicant’s tongue. I was at a cathedral and the priest had a little cup attached to his ceborium so he could take care of it right there and then.

Unfortunately, intinction is to be performed only by a priest. As Redemptionis Sacramentum explains, “If this modality [of intinction] is employed, however, hosts should be used which are neither too thin nor too small, and the communicant should receive the Sacrament from the Priest only on the tongue. . . . The communicant must not be permitted to intinct the host himself in the chalice, nor to receive the intincted host in the hand.” No one should be permitted to walk away with the host over to the cup, since “special care should be taken to ensure that the host is consumed by the communicant in the presence of the minister, so that no one goes away carrying the Eucharistic species in his hand.”
