Proclaiming the faith through the medium of beautiful music

Do you like to sing?

Can you play an instrument well?

Do you enjoy sharing your Catholic faith with others?

Saint Cecilia Classical Productions Inc. is conducting a nationwide talent search for traditional Catholic young ladies of exceptional music ability who wish to use their musical talents and knowledge of the faith in the service of Our Lord and Our Lady.

We are searching for young women who have a strong background in the areas of either classical or contemporary voice (alto or soprano), string or wind instruments. Acting, dance, music theater or public speaking experience would be an additional plus.

College age young ladies (student or non-student), or recent college graduates, especially those with degrees in music, are encouraged to apply. Home-schooled individuals are also most welcome. For complete details about our work & requirements, visit us at:

Too bad it’s only for ladies, the Lord has given me quite a gift for songwriting. I’m not worried about it though as I know He will direct it where he wants it. At one time I was going to pursue a secular publishing deal, but have had a rather extraordinary encounter with our Blessed Mother concerning this gift and have turned it over to Jesus and her.

Hi cranster. Do you perform your songs ?

I am a songwriter as well, and when I returned to the Church a couple of years ago, it made me rethink my direction lyric-wise. Stopped my writing cold actually.

Kind of a coincidence. My first lyric I penned since my return included Our Lady, and the one I’ve got simmering now is about a girl who chose to be a consecrated virgin over marriage.

I honestly can’t find a catholic artist that grabs me so far. The message is wonderful of course, in all the songs I’ve heard, but they are so predictable. It’s almost as though I already know the lyrics before I hear them, and so many of them have the “praise and worship” feel. Which is fine, but I’m trying to find that untried catholic genre that no one has tapped into yet. More of a “catholic folk” type genre.

Anyhow, we could get way off topic here, and obviously I have. At least the OP got a bump up top lol. We could start a new discussion on a more appropriate forum if you are interested. Popular Media perhaps.

It wouldn’t be fair to the OP to hijack this thread so we can either start a new thread in that forum or I could PM you… Either way.

Ok, I’ll move my post over there and start a thread.

I type slow, so it may be a few minutes.
